How makeup gathers

For decades makeup has been used by women in our society, and now thanks to our mind-evolving society men use it too. Hobbies always create groups and communities, and that’s what happened for beauty. Indeed, a beauty community is born thanks to all the makeup lovers, so everybody can learn out of them, but it also allows people to highlight anything that could or should be changed or can evolve in another direction.

On all social media, you can find influencers who are parts of this community. Makeup is within everyone’s reach, but who doesn’t want to always get better, learn new techniques, discover new brands…

People can also discuss with each other’s and learn for one another, to rely on a community is really important in our lives, so we don’t feel excluded in our world, we all are part of at least a few communities.

This also allows us to take part in many events, or even dramas of the community, so thanks to social media we gather people and here people who like make-up.

But this community is also really helpful to draw any problems that some encounter. For example, something that often comes up in the community, the fact that there are not enough shades for women of colours especially black women. Nyma Tang an American influencer is known for saying out loud and showing to her community how black women are discriminated and with a few others influencer she highlighted the lack of tutorials for dark skins, so they created their own channels.

To conclude, thanks to social media a community was born around the world of beauty and especially about make-up. Those communities are here to gather people, but they also show everything that’s missing in the beauty industry for this or this type of skin…

But we should never forget that even if it’s created positive things, there is also a lot of negativity in those groups that can be sometimes quite wild and that’s a shame.

Interesting look at this subject. Would be interesting to develop more how communities have formed around beauty, taking a look at the evolution of these communities, where and how they begin and evolve. Good post. Lovely blog!
